Nation’s largest ESOP physical therapy clinics change name to Movement for Life
Avid Physical Therapy/Movement for Life announced their 26 outpatient physical therapy clinics across the nation have made the bold collective decision to join forces and unify under one company name: Movement for Life Physical Therapy.
Previously, the clinics grew under five independent names — Avid Physical Therapy, Athlon Physical Therapy, Central Valley Physical Therapy, San Luis Sports Therapy, Specialized Physical Therapy — and collectively as Team Movement for Life.
As the largest employee-owned outpatient private practice in the United States, the joint investment in unifying the brand further echoes the value placed on each person within the company. This decision helps to secure national brand recognition and pave the shared path forward. Furthermore, the company believes that local communities in California, Arizona, and North Carolina have been and will continue to be at the core of the business’ support and success.
Of the company’s name change, Movement for Life CEO Kelly Sanders said, “Throughout our history, we have always embraced change when adversity has spotted our paths with shifting regulations, payment cuts, and leadership transitions. Through it, our team has stood for inclusion, equality, and growth. We first united with a shared passion in supporting people on their journey to move with less pain and more function —helping them find their own movement for life. This decision reflects moving forward in our shared journey with a renewed sense of purpose.”
Sincerely,
Kelly Sanders
